  • 4/26 10:36 am - PROS - Lots of high image quality with little to no compression pixelation visible. The composition and movement at 0:57 stood prominently, as did your shots of the skyline. CONS - Exposure (0:05, 0:16, 0:27) and White Balance (1:06) inconsistencies present. Lots of environmental variety, however, all interior and artificial lighting conditions were uncontrolled and professionally designed museum exhibits; some of the compositions were too busy, shot through glass, or from an awkward angle that does not effectively show the action - another side effect of the uncontrolled environment. Some shots would have benefitted from the use of a tripod as they appeared to have a stationary intention but drifted with no purpose. Be sure to maintain a consistent horizon line (1:11) in all shots unless the story calls for a canted angle. Lots of lens flares and filter reflections present in the Chinatown footage. Song choice appears to be the explicit version, containing profanity.
  • 4/25 12:28 pm - MSI is a great subject. Unfortunately, it can be limiting regarding focal length and lighting - two key factors of cinematography. You weren't able to light subjects and were constrained by how close you could get to exhibits. The exposure in the Chinatown shots is good, making for pretty shots.
