  • 4/27 8:51 am - Well cut between the 3 different camera angles. Subjects really know their Radiohead and the deep dive into the albums is fascinating not only for fans of just Radiohead but for music lovers as well. The set is well thought out and pretty cool too. I liked what you did in terms of lighting. Anytime you can hear thoughtful and knowledgeable conversation about music, that is a good thing. Nicely done!
  • 4/26 3:06 pm - This is a great video with such a cool topic, love the Radiohead deep dive. You all had a really cool intro and set design, nice work. However, the lighting was very distracting and too dark. The anchors felt forced and weren’t engaged in the topic, we need enthusiasm for the content, whether they like it or don't like it. They also never really introduced themselves or the topic which probably made the whole process feel a bit forced or slow. Overall, you have a great idea and set, just need to practice the "talk show" format to get everyone engaged and enthusiastic.
  • 4/16 1:21 pm - Great introduction to this talk show. Not sure how I feel about the lighting - I get the mood that you’re trying to set, but at the same time, it’s really hard to see the faces of the folks that are speaking. Be sure to introduce yourselves at the beginning - even if it’s just your first names. It’s evident that the hosts have knowledge of their topic. I would suggest working on the transitions - especially those between questions. That’s a hard skill to master - how do you wrap up what you want to say in response to one question and either toss it to someone else for their opinion or move on to the next question. Technically speaking, there was nothing in this talk show that stood out to me - which means the directing was clean, the editing was clean, the framing was good, and the audio was good.

Positives: Very impressive and polished intro. Insightful commentary, clearly you all are very knowledgeable and this was an engaging discussion.

Improvements: Lighting was too dark. Would have been nice to have some visuals, maybe a snippet of one of their music video.

Judge 2

Positives: Good intro. Talent had great chemistry between them and your passion for your topic came through in this show.

Improvements: Lighting was dark. Creative, but was dark. Work on connecting the questions together - the transitions.

Positives: All three hosts have great chemistry. It is evident to the viewer that you all are real friends and passionate about the subject matter, but you never go too "inside baseball" that a non-musical viewer wouldn't know what you're talking about. The creative lighting is AWESOME! It really works for a show all about rock. I also love the animation at the beginning of the segment. Very nice job!

Improvements: Watch filler language such as "like" and "uh"-- it's okay to take a pause and think about what you want to say without feeling like you need to fill the silence. This is a hard skill to master since we use filler language all day everyday! I know you were going for outside-the-box lighting here, and I really appreciate the creativity. However, it is hard to see the hosts with the darker shades (dark blue, red) against the black background. If you can find a way around this it would be perfect!
