4/27 11:06 am - Keep the leads in the frame when they are signing at the beginning. Some distorted audio, was that a house mix issue? Make sure to remind camera operators about headroom. Remember to wait for the camera to be set before taking the shot.
4/27 8:03 am - Critique primarily for director:
0:11 - Take to another shot before you lose all of your subjects in the first shot.
0:38 - Let pans/zooms/tilts finish before taking next shot.
During dance line, get another camera tight on the couple.
The extreme wide shot doesn’t need the entire set background each time you take it; too much
irrelevant space at the top of the frame.
1:27 - Need a tight shot of the speaker.
Audio clean.
2:23 - The shot before & the shot taken to now are essentially the same framing. Also, don’t take a shot until it’s set.
4/13 8:11 pm - Thank you for your entry and sharing your creation with us. I very much enjoyed viewing your submission. Just a few observations. Framing of shots at times would not follow all the action, and some shots would linger too long waiting on another camera take. That said, live action can be a more challenging situation. Liked your shot takes in general. Was the audio provided by the house PA? It was a bit distorted at times and maybe something that could have been mixed more evenly if you had control of it. Again, enjoyed viewing your submission and thank you again for entering!
