- 4/28 1:16 am - Nice intro. Anchor does a nice job. Drop the mic down a little. Sometimes students record their VOs like they are in a library. Encourage them to speak at full voice when they record. Interesting stories with good imagery. Good football broll. Writing throughout is effective. Good audio and interviews. When possible, have talent record their VOs on location of where their story is shot/taking place. It will fit into their packages nicely. Really enjoyed the dance package. Fun ending. I liked the coach trivia segment as well. Two fun guys. Try varying your shots throughout...maybe use two cameras, if possible. Entertaining show with a news magazine format. Solid, broll, anchoring, audio throughout.
- 4/28 12:16 am - The tease is very good and makes me want to see more. The open is also very strong without being over the top. In the first story, it feels like the video is very generic and I'm not getting many specifics. This is a story that maybe should've had more of a school focus up top. Reporter track could use a little energy. Football story starting with nats is smart. Nice traditional sports preview story with all the pieces. The b-roll got a little generic. The dance story is confusing to me, I don't know what is happening. Teacher trivia is interesting, but doesn't really feel like it fits the show.
- 4/18 1:39 pm - Great opening montage- shows a lot about your school and well edited! Good energy and voice from the host. Perhaps reframing to avoid the awkward large microphone? Good story on the elections! Nice package on the football game. Dancing segment was entertaining. Lots of entertainment in this show- maybe more of a news magazine show, but it works. Might try to have your host do some actual news reporting as well, and perhaps add some graphics in her shot? "who knows" segment could use some more camera angles instead of just the stagnant one shot of both coaches- add variety with some close-ups. Overall, it's a very entertaining show that I'm sure the students at your school look forward to seeing!

Positives: -great variety of hard news stories and incorporating more light hearted pieces into the newscast.
-The creative segment with the teachers at the end was great
Improvements: -for talent using the stick mics, try to lower the mic so it's not covering parts of your face. It can be distracting while you're on-camera
-great framing for interview. Try and have the interviewee look at the reporter to give a standard interview shot

Positives: The first news package was professional grade. You took a state-level topic and localized it with teacher and student interviews. Great b-roll as well.
While an unconventional news package, the Neuqua Knows it Can Dance package was very engaging and certainly grabbed the attention of a student audience.
Improvements: Instead of a string of news packages, the program would have benefited from a variety of news delivery methods, including the anchor delivering headlines and reports on sports, weather, entertainments, etc.
The program lacked cohesion. Again, instead of a string of news packages, segues with music, graphics and more dynamic anchor copy would have created a better package. Example, “Coming up on Wildcat Weekly, the results of Neuque Knows it Can Dance, but first, this year’s War of 204 will be on our home turf.”

Positives: - Overall, this is a great show. The writing is strong, and the video and audio go great with that. Well done!
- I found the stories really informative with good soundbite selection. The b-roll matched well too.
Improvements: - Nitpicking here... I would've liked a bit more natural sound just to help the story flow and the viewer feel like they're there.
- A bit more shot variety would take the packages over the top. Try to get some wide, medium and close-up shots at everything, which then helps the story flow.
