- 4/27 9:52 am - This video is such a great concept and I really appreciate the focus your team puts into highlighting the teams from your school. The two lead anchors were very enthusiastic and definitely showcased their appreciation for the sports and the journalists covering the sports. The camera switches on the anchors as well as the interview after the first segment were good and helped focus the answers.
Moving forward, I would include some picture in picture in the beginning to cue up what is coming up on the episode. As for sound, during the interview, the B-Roll noise was a bit too loud at times.
Overall, nice work!
- 4/27 8:54 am - Good conversation covering the fall sports at the school. The story about the girls cross country meet was quite over exposed. The cross country beat reporter was looking around during his interview, should be engaged only with the host. Very professional all around.
- 4/16 1:22 pm - Nice graphics to start the show. One little thing regarding mic placement - instead of putting the mics on or very near the collar of the shirts, put it more in the middle. This way, when the anchors turn towards each other, the audio doesn’t fade a little. Or, if you want them up that high, then put them on the inside collar so when they turn to the other person, we don’t lose the audio. Cross Country package - probably out of your control, but the iris was up too high on many of those shots.

Positives: Very compelling delivery from anchors, drew me in.
Audio was great. In studio it sounded very professional and I liked the use of natural sound from the footage taken in the field.
Improvements: Remember to white balance your footage in the field.
Saying "next question" is a bit clunky. Work on finding a more natural transition.

Positives: Good graphics at the beginning of the show. Good use of natural audio in your b-roll.
Improvements: Watch the iris on the cross country package - it was too high. What's a better way to transition than saying "next question"?
Judge 3
Positives: This is a really well-rounded broadcast! I appreciate how many elements you had in the show-- anchor intro, sports package, analysis and I'm sure more content beyond that.
It is clear that everyone involved in this broadcast has a real passion for sports. Let that appreciation continue to shine through, work hard and you will find success!
Improvements: Cross country b-roll needed to be white balanced. If you have a tripod, use it to avoid shaky clips like what happened here.
When the host was interviewing Matteo, avoid saying "alright next question." You don't have to stick to the script, listen to what the reporter is saying and feel free to add to the conversation or move on the next question without stating it.
