- 4/25 10:22 am - Excellent shooting all around. Great diversity of shots - as there should be in a reel - so good work! The diversity of shots from multiple projects highlights your shooting acumen and ability to light scenes. A couple of the darker scenes would have been better lit, but it doesn't matter much, as this is super strong work. Good work - and can't wait to see more from you!
- 4/21 1:57 pm - PROS - Extremely sharp image quality throughout. This enables your color and lighting to render with high detail, free from both exposure and technical error. The artificial lighting setups were executed very well and the majority of the camera movement was very smooth. The opening shot is probably the most emotive; the rolloff of the daylight on the subjects face is great. CONS - Not much to comment on here. The highlights in the sky at 0:06 are washed out and blooming, losing the branch detail in the top 3rd of the frame. The shot at 0:10 is a nice composition but an odd focal choice, causing your subject to not be clearly defined. Focus overall in the video was good but there were some noticeable instances of late adjustment, especially in the shot at 0:35. Whether or not that is auto focus, the character should stay sharp throughout the movement. Shooting at a higher f-stop might help. Overall very strong work!
- 4/17 4:53 pm - Great job with your lighting, very purposeful to create a diversity of tones and feels that crossed over a variety of genres. Great edit as well, demonstrating a strong range of different shots with purposeful movement and different compositions that provided the audience with different perspectives. Your focus was soft on some and it looked like auto-focus on other shots, next time make sure that is dialed in.

Positives: Nice slow mo scenes
Improvements: Lighting in some scenes looked pushed. Somewhat basic effects.

Positives: 1. Your knowledge of camerawork fundamentals (3 big settings, camera movements, framing, follow focus) were exceptional. 2. Your use of lighting, while not perfect, is still very nice. While you lost some of your darks to the shadows, you used colored lighting and natural light to your advantage.
Improvements: 1. I wish I could have seen a larger variety of shot types. Many of the shots ranged from medium to wide/establishing, so I wish I could've seen how you use close ups more. 2. Many of your shots were from the same scene environment. You could cut out 40 seconds from this reel and still have an extremely beautiful and concise reel to show. Don't show more than is necessary.
