- 4/27 7:55 am - Good story and b-roll. Nice variety. Good audio of interviewees. The interviewees sound cleaner and clearer than the reporter. Don’t hold the mic with two hands, it is a sign of weakness or nervousness. As a side note, it would be nice for you to put the lower thirds in these competition entries.

Positives: - Great job getting so many different viewpoints on this story. I like how the interviews are shot too
Improvements: - Instead of picking a soundbite that repeats your reporter track, pick a different bite next time. Use your reporter track to set it up. This will help your story flow. - The story really needed some natural sound from the bowling alley, where we know there are all sorts of sounds. The balls returning, the pins crashing, etc. -- that helps the viewer feel like they are there with you, which then keeps their attention.

Positives: Your story included everything. How the club started, where it's now and where it's going. I think it was great. I like the variety of interviews and showing the excitement of the club. Lots of good action broll. I like your stand up at the bowling alley.
Improvements: Try not to say exactly what your sot is about to say. "we take anyone from any skill level"... -The director of the bowling team says they want you, even if you've never bowled before. -Phil says they can teach you everything you need to know. -The team coach says he's got a spot for everyone. Your stand up voice was not the same as your track voice. Be just as strong and powerful when you track your pkg. I thought the pkg should end at 1:32. You said talk to this teacher to join and then he repeated what you said. Or take out the line about how to join and let him say all that. Overall, good broll and interviews, but take advantage of the nats. Every time the ball hit a pin, I was waiting for a nat pop. Also, lighting in a bowling alley is awful. Do a white balance before every interview or new shot.

Positives: Great to see a reporter stand-up at the top of the piece to show on-air presence Good use of video, diverse range of camera shots to match the narration of the story
Improvements: I would've liked to hear more natural sound to transition in between shots Best to start the pkg with natural sound and video than with a soundbite, unless you're specifically referring to the soundbite.
