A guy goes to great lengths to bring his teddy bear back to life.
Positives: 1. Camerawork was mostly solid and stable and showed proficient knowledge in cinematic techniques 2. Use of multiple scenes for only seven days was quite impressive and showed the amount of planning and effort you put in.
Improvements: 1. There was a major plot hole of how Teddy had a grave stone and was seemingly "buried" without the knowledge of the owner when in reality he was in the doctor's trunk. I know this was a comedy piece but it is a bad habit to let plot holes like this slip through. 2. The montage of the surgery was so long that I lost interest halfway through because it became redundant to see the same thing over and over. Keep it concise.
Positives: The camera work was really good. With the exception of a few shots I can tell you have a good concept of framing and composition. My favorite shot is when our hero is reunited with the teddy bear and its a POV from the bear. It showed how excited the character was to be together again.
Improvements: 1:33 I see lights in the shot. I cannot tell if this is intentional or not. If they are part of the operation then I feel like they should've been established at 1:42. Otherwise shoot the other way. Once you establish the 180 degree of a scene stick to it unless a story element requires you to break it. 3:36 I wanna say you weren't happy with how shaky the shot was so in the edit you stabilized it. It is all dependent on how shaky the original clip is. If it is small then the stabilization will level it out. If it is extremely then you will get the weird warping effect on screen.
Positives: The overall plot and dialog were excellent! Loved the humor and the strong use of camera techniques to help convey the story. The music fit well with the plot and helped carry the story.
Improvements: Lighting during the operation scene had lighting equipment visible and, with the use of harsh shadows, it was clear when someone off-camera walked in front of the lights. Although the use of a steady camera added to the piece, it would have added to the story to have a wider range of camera angles and the use of a locked-down camera. Also, there were some shots that might have a wrap stabilizer on them that needed to be adjusted since the stabilizer made the shot extra shaky.
