- 4/27 9:49 am - The production value, from the studio set to sound design and control room work, was way above average. Nice work! I loved the enthusiasm from the kids talking, though we need some more engagement from all the kids, some were definitely just following the lead and didn't seem to be as invested. It might help if the students looked right at the camera. The titles and overlays are great! Keep up the good work!
- 4/27 8:53 am - Good conversation from clearly knowledgeable panelists regarding Game 1 of the NLDS. Good job of interjecting some B-Roll into the show especially showing the Castellanos catch that you were talking about. Very conversational and well switched following the voices. It would have been nice to hear from everyone on the panel, it was largely dominated by 2 of the hosts. Nice set, well done!
- 4/16 1:21 pm - Around 1:30, the camera was bumped or tilted slightly. At the end, the graphic changed to the next game before the students were done talking about the Astros game. Overall, not a bad clip. While there were 4 students in the show, really only heard from 2 of them until the very end - then the 3rd piped in. Never heard from the 4th. The 2 that spoke most of the time were very knowledgeable about sports and provided some great insight into the games. Aside from the one camera shake the and the change in graphics a little too soon, the directing was right on as I never felt like I wasn’t seeing what I should have been seeing. Good framing and good clean audio.
Judge 1
Positives: Set looks great, very dynamic. Well lit and served as a nice backdrop Audio sounded excellent.
Improvements: Delivery could be more engaging. Be careful about talking over each other.
Judge 2
Positives: The 2 hosts that spoke the majority of the time were very knowledgeable. Good set with good lighting.
Improvements: 1 host never spoke. Make sure all 4 hosts are engaging. Careful to not change the graphic before the hosts are done talking about a particular subject.
Judge 3
Positives: The four of you work well together. For having that many hosts, there wasn't any talking over each other. You also do a great job of avoiding filler language such as "like" and "um." You pause to collect your thoughts and that's very professional. Keep talking about what you love! Your set is really cool! Every sports show needs great memorabilia and you have some of that. I like that the monitor switches between the show graphic and the highlight video. The scoreboard has a nice design as well.
Improvements: It is a little too dark on set-- the hosts on the right have shadows on their faces. This is just me being nit-picky but the highlight video had the YouTube title and timeline in it -- try to crop that stuff out when you catch it. Overall though, great job!
