The girls bowling team is off to a great start with new coaches and rosters for the season
Positives: Great variety of shots. Having the sound throughout the whole piece of the bowling alley brings the piece to life.
Improvements: Bring up the audio in the whole piece. It sounds low. Add more sequence shots. For example, wide shot of the bowler, medium of their face then tight shot of it being released.
Positives: Nice sequencing off the top of the story! Great opening soundbite from the coach. I can really sense his enthusiasm and love for the team. I like that you talked to a variety of people for this story. Nice little nat breaks between some of the sound bites. You got some memorable sots in this story. Fun closing shot! Great job!
Improvements: Your interview shots were a bit too dark. I know shooting in a bowling alley isn't easy, and I'm not sure if you had your own light. If not, try to position your interview subject underneath a light inside to illuminate their face as best you can. Next time, work on getting more variety in your shooting. I saw a lot of wide and medium shots. I would've loved to see more tight shots. That will give you more options in the edit and help with sequencing.
Positives: LOVED that shot of the ball rolling away from the camera down the aisle. It was such a great sequence. The sound overall sounded great. Loved how it began and ended. The nat sound was great throughout and kept quiet enough that it didn't interfere with the interviews.
Improvements: Less headroom on your interviews. The lighting is a bit uneven. Some faces are too dark and some clips were too bright.
